About me
Hi! I’m Renee Cassandra Glanville, a Deaf Black American illustrator and visual storyteller, currently a graduate student in International Development at Gallaudet University.
I use art as a tool for meaningful change, with a focus on culture, accessibility, and global justice. Through illustrations, posters, and visual stories, I aim to highlight underrepresented voices and make important ideas more accessible across various languages, including American Sign Language, Italian Sign Language, and British Sign Language, as well as to diverse communities and experiences.

I have a background in design and a strong interest in community-based work. I often create art that centers on Deaf, DeafBlind, and disabled stories and explores themes such as youth empowerment, cultural identity, and international collaboration. I utilize both digital and traditional tools, and I enjoy incorporating sign language, emotion, and symbolism into my work.

Whether I’m illustrating for an NGO, a youth program, or an awareness campaign, my goal is always the same:
To make information more human, more visual, and more inclusive. I work with tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Procreate. I enjoy working with teams that care about impact, storytelling, and accessibility—locally and globally.
